Today I Want To Dream

Today I want to scream

I want to scream at the American Dream

and say the things I'm not allowed to say

each day I watch children play

and think about how they will pay

as they grow, life will illustrate itself to them

and show how it's going to kill us all

Today I want to scream

I want to scream at the American dream

every day the innocent starve and die

we all have to think to ourselves Why

why do we use and abuse our children

turning them way from their dreams

and into the mass that is the mundane

sending them away from the house of knowledge

and into the pit of destruction

why do we cross the threshold of life

blind, deaf, and dumb

Today I want to scream

And today I want

to make my own dream

Nightmare

Shadows of reality have their own materiality

they are reflections of thoughts

like the sun

as seen from the bottom of the ocean

diffused beneath the undulating waves

passing only as far as the water will consent

to this place where consequence, reason,

and inspiration flow as one

I am the creator of these inclination

all envy my obscurity

I am trapped behind and beneath

the magnificence of dreams

I whisper every dirty and disgusting thought

I feed on the lost souls who advocate me

I was condemned to eternal damnation

and exiled to the darkest pits

so beware the day I return

for that will mean the end

and the beginning of my revenge

I feel like a spider on the wall.

People don't notice me at all.

In the darkest corner I am perched.

You would see me if you only searched.

So fragile, so alone,

my heart has turned to stone.

Won't you soften it for me?

Just come closer and you will see.

In my web you've been caught,

not knowing what you really sought.

Don't worry now, it will all be over soon.

Just relax as I wrap you in a cocoon.

As my venom pumps through your veins,

I will feast on your remains.

As your fluid spills out,

you realize what this is about.

I never meant to be so cold.

Your body, your hands I love to hold.

It's just something I need to get by,

a drug that gets me so high.

When I'm with you my heart is on fire,

it is you that I desire.

So another web I will spin.

Into my life I will let you in.
